This vibrant and fun Bohemian crochet pillow uses the popular granite stitch to create a stunning, textured design. The pattern is perfect for beginners, and you can customize it with your own choice of colors for a unique touch. Here’s how you can make your own!
Materials:
- Yarn:
- Soft Yellow
- Yellow
- Dark Yellow (Stone ground mustard color)
- Orange
- Red
- Raspberry
- Maroon
- Teal/Turquoise
- Light Blue
- Crochet Hook: 6.5mm
- Tapestry Needle
- Polyfill Stuffing
Abbreviations (US terms):
- sc = Single crochet
- ch = Chain
Notes:
- Feel free to change the colors to whatever you like, or keep it one color for a more subtle look.

Instructions:
Round 1:
- Ch 66 + 1 turning chain (67 total chains).
Round 2:
- In the second chain from the hook, make 1 sc, ch 1, skip the chain below, and sc into the next chain.
- Repeat this across the row. At the end, make sc, ch 1, and turn the piece so that the opposite side of the chain (that hasn’t been worked yet) is now on top.
- sc into the same chain your last sc went into. The end stitch should be sc, ch 1, sc.
- Crochet the rest of the round as you did in the first part. (68 stitches total).
Round 3:
- Now, you’ll switch colors:
- When working into the last row’s chain loop, yarn over with a new color and pull it through the chain loop.
- Start the round with 1 sc, ch 1, and skip the previous round’s sc.
- Then, sc into the chain loop below.
- Continue the pattern: ch 1 over the previous rows’ sc and sc into the chain gaps (NOT the actual chain).
Round 4 – 50:
- Repeat Round 3 using a new color for each pass.
- Continue crocheting until your pillow is as large as you want it to be.
Finishing:
- Once the pillow is the desired size, fasten off the last color but leave a long tail for sewing.
- Sew the top of the pillow shut, making sure to stuff it along the way with polyfill for a plush finish.
